An epic blog about the Shiny Pokemon Hunters Riley and Alex. To teach people about Shiny Pokemon, to share our stories about Shiny encounters and inspire people to hunt Shiny Pokemon..... A Shiny Pokemon is an very rare Pokemon with different coloration than normal Pokemon. The odds of encountering a Shiny Pokemon are 1/8192, or 1/4096 in Gen 6. There are methods to increase the chances of finding one, such as the Masuda Method and Chaining. We will address all of this and more in our blog.

Shiny Manaphy
I am really thankful I thought of trading my Crobat on the GTS, it got me this legit shiny Manaphy. I wasn't even on Negotiations. Some of you might say "Getting a shiny Manaphy is impossible, there is a shiny check!" but in reality, the shiny check is avoidable. For those of you who have yet to learn what a shiny check is, it is a thing that keeps event Pokemon like Celebi and Manaphy from being shiny. There is a very complex calculation using ID, secret ID, and the personality value of the Pokemon that I won't even try to explain that decides if it is shiny. Anyway, the shiny check will keep on regenerating the Pokemon until it is not shiny. But since the shiny check is preformed on the Manaphy egg, if you trade it someone else with a different ID and secret ID before it hatches, it has a normal chance of being shiny. Pretty lucky, huh?

So if I were to trade the Manaphy egg to a Pearl Version after getting it on Diamond version then Delete the file on Diamond version and Restart it, hatch the egg on Pearl to see if it's shiny, and if not Reset the game then Trade the unhatched egg over to the new Diamond file would there be a possibility of the egg turning shiny on that file?
