Masuda Method vs. Soft Resetting

Hey, it's Riley typing. Today I would like to go over the pros and cons of the two most efficient ways to get shinies- Masuda Method or Soft Resetting.

               Masuda Method
Pros                                  Cons
You obtain lots                  Your boxes get
of Pokemon you                   cluttered up.
can trade.

Chances are 1/1366              You need Wi-Fi
or 1/1639.                      capabilities or a
friend with a game                                   in another
                                language.

                                You can't hatch
                                Legendaries.

                Soft Resetting
   Pros                               Cons
Super easy and                  Kind of boring.
does not require
Wi-Fi.                          Chances are 1/8192.

A single Masuda Method Pokemon = 6 normal Pokemon. I can hatch 1 Charmander (with the Flame Body/ Magma Armor trick) every 2 minutes. So if you can SR/encounter 3 or more Starters per minute, you can match the Masuda Method. That means if you SR more than 3 Starters per minute, you would get a shiny faster than you would with the Masuda Method. If you SR something like the Hitmonchan or the random Pokemon you have to deliver to people in HG/SS, you would have a worse chance since you can hatch those faster than starters. So overall, if you want Legendaries SR. Anything else I would MM.

P.S
Technically Eevee and Pickachu are starters. In Pokemon Yellow, your rival gets an Eevee, and you get a Pikachu.
